नेपाल मगर संघले आयोजना गरेको दोहोरी प्रतियोगिताको केहि झलक। जसमा १६ वटा विभिन्न समुहहरुले भाग लिएका छन्। जुन काठमाडौँ को टुँडिखेलमा ३ दिन देखि संचालन हुँदै आएको छ र आज अन्तिम स्पर्धा।

Lakhey, the instrumental band, Anil Dhital on guitar, Ashish Maharjan on flute and vocal effects, Yuson Maharjan on dhimeh, Rabindra
Maharjan on bhusyah, Naresh Prajapati on khin,Deepak Gurung and Ashish Dangol
performing as Lakhey, the dancing demon, and Guidoo Wyss of Commando Noise Terror as their guest drummer.
Incorporating sounds of more than 15 Nepali/Newar musical instruments
ranging from the dhyangro that jhankris (faith healers) play to drive out spirits to kaa and pongraa played during funerals with seven-string guitar riffs and bass, most of the band members take on multiple
instruments, creating what they call ethnic metal music.
For skeptics who believe that metal is a recent phenomena in Nepali music, Lakhey brings to light the existence of metal in Nepali music roots. And it's only Newar music the band has mostly explored which still leaves the potential of many different tribal music of Nepal untapped.
A year since the first jam session, Lakhey boasts seven completed
compositions, most still untitled.

Kutumba "Divinity"
6th December, 2008 Kutumba featuring various artists performed at UDHR60 in Kathmandu Concert+Photo Presentation
On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Kutumba proposes to organize a concert of folk instrumental music by Kutumba accompanied by other folk artists illustrating the 30 articles of the declaration and allowing the audience to explore the possibility of finding respect and identity through the medium of indigenous music art forms. Along side the concert, pictures and information booths related to human rights would be set up.
b&n, through photo.circle will showcase photographs related to the UDHR. Alliance Française in Kathmandu will host the photo exhibition.
